Hey family,
Well tonight is the first night and it's been a full day already. My first companions name is Elder Lewis. He’s from a small town in Arizona. We’ve already been to a couple of classes and it seems like I am so unprepared to be here. I never know what it really meant to trust fully in the Lord until now. There’s about ten other Elder’s going to Oregon Eugene with me. Some are a bit weird but I guess that’s what you get when you go state side.
I saw Brian at lunch today and he’s doing great. I didn’t see Chad at all but it was just the first day.
I know even though it gonna be hard, that this is the right thing to be doing and I’m glad I’m here. I love you all a ton and I’ll see you in two years.

P.S. Mom, I need you to use my phone and text Alex Watts and get Scott’s address forme along with his families. And some friends wanted you to start a blog for them to go look at my letters and to stay updated. I told them you would love to!
