Well it has been another pretty crazy week. Three of the four districts in our zone left so this Wednesday we have twenty new missionaries coming in that me and Elder Cox get to greet and tell them all the rules and such here at the MTC. I did run into Chad just this Monday, it was great to see him he's doin great. I also ran into Brian and Chris and got to talk to them for a few minutes. They were pretty mad that I get to leave before them but they're both doin great. I can't really believe that I’m almost out of here. I only just got here; we leave Salt Lake on Tuesday on an eleven thirty flight and get to Oregon at twelve thirty i think.
The MTC is such an awesome place, yesterday I was thinkin back to three weeks ago and just looking at myself and what has changed and already there are some huge differences. You realize that a lot of the things you worried about back home didn't really matter or weren't a big deal. I did have a pretty sweet experience this week with an Elder in our zone. Sunday morning this Elder woke up and his thumb had swelled up during the night to the size of a potato. He went throughout the day with it like that and finally, when at the end of the day, it was still the same size so he asked his companion if he would give him a blessing and then asked me and my companion to be in the circle. I got to stand in front of him and while his companion started to give the blessing, I might have peeked a little and looked down at his hand, and by the end of the blessing his thumb was back to its normal size. It still hurt a little but that was it. It was really so cool to see that happen.
Other than that experience it’s just been the same thing every day pretty much. We wake up study, eat, study some more then go eat some more, then teach someone, then study, then eat again, then study some more, then go to bed. That's pretty much every day for ya. We do have the occasional devotional and those are so amazing. We had one on Tuesday and after the talk I really was just so ready to go out and teach people it was so amazing.
Love
Elder Stephenson
