Dear Family,
Well this week has been another good week. We had a district meeting on Wednesday and President Macdonald was there. He is such an amazing guy and his wife is so nice. We talked about using time effectively and me and my companion realized there was a lot we needed to work on.
Right now we are teaching a few people. We are teaching a couple who the missionaries have been teaching for three or four months. They are really cool but they just aren't ready yet. He actually knows President Macdonald so he's has been talking to him a lot lately so we're hoping that something good will come of it. We are teaching another guy named Matt. He is the biggest Red Neck in the world. Last week he went and visited his dad up in Portland and he came back with a pair of rattle snake skin boots and an awesome Indiana Jones hat...even better than yours dad. He hasn't been progressing much lately but out of nowhere he asked us if we could come over and teach him the first two lessons again, so were are going over there sometime this week so that's good. We are also working with a lot of part member families. We don't get a whole lot of referrals from the members but we do get a few. The ward is super amazing though they are all willing to help us out when we need someone to go with us to teach and I don't think there has been one night yet when we haven't had dinner with a member.
So the rain started this week, on Saturday we got about four inches of rain and Sunday it rained on and off all day. So far the rain doesn't bug me but I’m thinking after seven months of it I might get a little annoyed. My jackets are working great so far the new one I bought is pretty nice and I can fit that other one over it cause that one is a little better at keeping the rain off.
So i didn't realize how big of a deal hunting was over here. Everyone right now is out deer hunting. We'll be going through town and you'll see a deer's head popping out of a truck or someone is gutting a deer on their front porch. We went and visited a member yesterday and we started talking about guns and she was telling us how her dad was kind of gun crazy. He recently passed away and so far after going through all of his stuff they have found seventy four guns, and a thousand pounds of ammo.....I thought Utah people were bad.
Well everything is going great, I did see Prince of Persia in theaters and I really liked it. I hope you guys have fun at the Halloween party, tell everyone Hi for me. Hope you guys have a great week. Love ya tons.
