Hey Family!
Well well well this week has been a pretty good week. We spent most of the week over in Reedsport trying to visit all the less actives and part member families. There are a few people that wanted us to come back and talk some more so that was really good. We had district meeting on Friday and then I went on exchanges with our district leader who covers the Coquille area. That was really fun and we got a lot of work done over there, we found a few new people for them to start teaching so that was cool.
It was my companion’s birthday yesterday so I tried to make it a pretty good day for him. It was pretty cool we got to church yesterday and about five minutes after sacrament started a couple of our investigators walked through the door. We totally didn't expect them to come because they haven't been too serious about keeping any of their commitments and we hadn't seen them at all last week so it was definitely pretty sweet to see them show up like that. Plus it made his birthday a little better to. I think I kind of rained on his birthday parade on Saturday night. Since we were in Reedsport we weren't able to check our mail for four days so when we got back we had a stack of packages and letters. He got a little package but everything else was mine I felt bad, only cause it was his birthday. Any other day I think it’s funny how much mail I get because I always get more and it bugs him, and you know how bugging people like that makes me laugh...I know it’s something I’m working on don't judge me.
Anyways I’m glad you got the memory card I hope that some of the pictures worked out and that they all aren't too bad. I'll try to remember to take a picture of myself but I’ll probably forget so no promises. How did Tanner like that picture of the slug? There are tons of things over here that Tanner would love to take pictures of and draw. Speaking of Tanner......Do no girls like my little brother enough to take him on a date? I might add that I was asked to every girl’s choice dance- just so you know. Tanner, you might need to worry more about impressing the ladies and less about getting bigger muscles to show off to your wrestling buddies because obviously you aren't showing them off to any ladies or you would have had a date.
So Samuel and Daniel, thank you both so very much for writing me those letters, they definitely made me laugh and made my day. I hope you both are doin great in school and everything. Sam don’t worry about messin up on the sacrament. It’s not like everyone was watching you or anything like that.......o wait they were. Just kiddin Sam, it’s really not a big deal just wait until you become a priest and mess up then, that's when everyone notices and guess what everyone messes up at least once so it's not a big deal.
So Daniel I was thinkin the other day about how different you'll be when I get home, you'll probably be taller, maybe a little bigger but I wouldn't get your hopes up if I were you, and you could possibly have a deep voice when I get back....personally I’m hopin you're a late bloomer because I want to pin you down one more time and hear your shrill little laugh. Anyways that was just one of the thoughts I had this week.
I hope life is goin well for everyone else, it sounds like Jake is enjoying the college life and doin the ROTC thing. I hope your dating life is better than Tanners cause if it’s not I don't know if I can call you guys my brothers! I mean, come on, all the Stephenson boys can woo the ladies, just look at Sam I mean with that new hat and jacket of his he is probably the biggest pimp in school.
So for Thanksgiving we are going to a member’s home. They invite all the members in the ward who aren't going anywhere or don't have any family around so there should be quite a few people, I’m pretty excited. I think we are going to watch How to Train Your Dragon. I love that movie. I was tempted to ask the president if we could watch Harry Potter but I figured that I could wait two years if I had to, plus my companion isn't a huge Harry Potter fan (what's his problem).
Thanks a ton for the package and all the stuff you sent in it, I was super glad you sent those cans of chicken because I had just been thinking about how much I wanted some. I hope all is well back home. Thanks for all you do for me back home, I love you guys a ton and I hope you all have a good time in Vegas. Tell everyone hi for me.
