...we have another baptism set for this weekend.

January 3, 2011

Hey Family!!!!

Well it has been a pretty crazy week this week.  I have a new companion; his name is Elder Stokes from Orem.  He's only been out for six months so we are both still pretty young.  It’s only been a week so I can't really tell if we'll get along yet.  I hope so cause it's really hard when you have to focus more on the companionship then the work you are doing.

So we did get to meet with your friend. They actually took us out to dinner the night they came.  They are super nice and we had a good chat with them.  I sent home a box with all the Christmas stuff in it so that should get there soon.  Don't make fun of my clock when you see it, ok,  just put it on a shelf somewhere for two years until I get back and find a spot for it.  So the pies all survived for the most part they were all at least still in one piece.

For New Year’s Eve we spent it over in Reedsport with the members that we stay with.  We had to be inside by seven thirty.  We played Scrabble and Ticket to Ride with them until it was time for us to go to bed.

So we have another baptism set for this weekend. She is another nine year old whose name also happens to be Samantha.  She's also from a part of a part member family.  Her dad is a member but hasn't been very active.  They moved to Florence six months ago and he just started to come back to church because the first four people that he met here where some of the members.  Sam's a super smart girl so it has been pretty interesting but way fun to teach her.  We are hoping that her mom will want to start taking the discussions here pretty soon but I guess we'll wait and see.

All is well here in Oregon, I have a present for Jake but I don't know if I’ll get it off this week or not so just know that it will eventually get there.  I Love you guys a ton, thanks for all you guys do for me.

Love Elder Stephenson II
